FERPA Compliance

SchoolOpsAI operates as a school official with legitimate educational interest under FERPA. We only access student education records as authorized by the district. We do not use student data for advertising, marketing or any purpose unrelated to the educational services we provide.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit, role-based access controls and comprehensive audit logging. Our infrastructure is hosted on AWS with VPC isolation and automated backups.

We do not sell, rent or share student data with third parties for commercial purposes. We may share data only with service providers who assist in operating our platform and who are bound by confidentiality obligations, or as required by law.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain district data for the duration of our service agreement. Upon termination of services, districts may request export or deletion of all their data. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days.

Your Rights
